Top Hand Services is proud to announce the successful completion of the LDNR 31-well plugging package, covering orphaned and abandoned wells across Morehouse and LaSalle parishes.
This important project addressed wells that had been left unmanaged for years, some posing significant safety risks. In LaSalle Parish, several wells were discovered with more than 600 pounds of surface pressure, a condition that can create extremely dangerous situations for local communities and the environment.
Through a partnership with Delta Oilfield Company, Top Hand Services was able to safely and efficiently plug all 31 wells. Together, the teams ensured that the wells were permanently sealed, eliminating environmental hazards, protecting groundwater, and restoring safety to the surrounding areas.
This project represents more than just plugging wells—it’s about safeguarding our communities and ensuring Louisiana’s natural resources are protected for future generations. We’re proud of our crews and grateful to Delta Oilfield Company for their partnership in delivering this project safely and effectively."
The LDNR program continues to play a vital role in reducing the risks associated with orphaned wells throughout Louisiana, and Top Hand Services is honored to be a trusted contractor in this important initiative.
